Here’s to my Parents

Hey everybody! I know it’s been a while but I was just sitting around in the kitchen, listening to music, just minding my own business, when I had a random wave of inspiration to write a blog post. But you know, instead a normal bookish post, I just wanted to talk about my parents.

Not many people can say that they have the best parents in the world. Which is why I consider myself very blessed when I think of everything my parents do for me. I don’t always act like I appreciate them, (I’ve had my fair share of brat-worthy moments) and I don’t always listen to what they tell me to do. And even sometimes when I can’t seem to understand the logic behind why they are telling to do something or warn me to not do something else, I know they always have my best interests at heart. I may not see that right away, but when I look back at things in years past, I can see where they were coming from.

Also can I say that I have some of the most hardworking parents IN THE WORLD! Literally they work their tails off for me and my siblings and they do it with willing hearts. My dad works a physically tiring job, most days in the Florida heat. He’s just a humble carpenter (kinda like Jesus and His dad Joseph 😏), but boy oh boy is he talented. He’s also a musician with his first single released (finally!!!! Also if you want info about where to listen to his song, read till the end and I’ll give more info.) And where do I begin with my mom? She’s more than just a photographer. She’s a teacher, a nurse, a cook, a housekeeper, counselor, and the woman whose kept me and my siblings alive for literally as long as any of us have been alive!

My parents are also literally so supportive. They always encourage me to do well in academics, and are prolly some of the biggest reasons I’m doing as well as I am in school and have the aspirations I have. They have always encouraged me to dream big. They always boost me up in my hopes of becoming a writer. And you know what else??? They read my blog! 😆😂

One last thing but I think is the most important thing. I would not be the Christian I am today without my parents guidance. They have told me to look to the Bible for everything since before I can even remember. Both my mom and my dad remind me of the verse that says to seek first the kingdom of God.

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬

They pray over me every night, ensuring God’s peace and direction on my life.

So, here’s to my parents. The best people in my life, even if I don’t say it enough. Love you guys!

And if you guys want to know more about my dad’s song, you can find him on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon music, YouTube, and a few other places (but I don’t remember oops). Just search “Here I Am,” by Joshua Croft. Here is a link to his song on Spotify!

Thank you all for reading! Give your parents a hug and a thank you! Until next time….

Byeeeee! Xoxoxoxo
